Phillip McIntyre Obituary

Phillip McIntyre
January 18, 1936- July 21, 2021
Phillip Thomas McIntyre, 85, a resident of Milford for 55 years, entered into eternal rest after an extended illness at his daughter's home in Lexington Kentucky on July 21, 2021.
He was the devoted husband of 61 years to Patricia Guman McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre was born in Bridgeport on January 18, 1936, the son of the late Phillip and Emma McIntyre. Phillip was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 40 years, and retired from there in 1997. Upon retirement he volunteered at Milford Hospital and was an active member of St. Mary's Church where he served as an usher at the 8:30 mass on Sundays. Phillip looked forward to meeting his friends at the Milford dock or the Connecticut Post Mall every morning, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and loved going on visits to Kentucky to his daughter's home. In addition to his beloved wife Patricia he is survived by his loving daughters Karen McIntyre Rose (Greg) of Lexington Kentucky, and Dawn McIntyre Lyder (Jeffrey) of Oxford Connecticut, cherished grandchildren Christopher Rose and Hailey Lyder as well as several caring nieces and nephews. He will be laid to rest at a future date at St. John the Baptist's Cemetery in Stratford.
