Robert Fullarton Obituary
Robert Bruce Fullarton (80 years of age), Branford, Connecticut passed away on November 27, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. He was born at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa to William A. and Gwendolyn M. Fullarton on January 5, 1940.
In 1990 Bob married Eileen Donoski Fullarton in Branford, Connecticut where they resided. Together they owned and operated the Chapel Wine Shop in New Haven, Connecticut.
He attended various elementary schools prior to moving to Bluefield, West Virginia where he graduated from Beaver High School in 1957. He then attended Bullis School in Silver Spring, Maryland, then the Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1959; was stationed at various bases during his tenure including Kodiak Alaska and the Philippines. He was discharged in 1963 with the rank of Corporal and moved to Stamford, Connecticut. In 1965 he attended the Divers Training Academy in Fort Lauderdale Florida receiving a Certificate of Achievement in Scuba diving. He was employed by Alinabal in Milford, CT until his retirement.
After his retirement he worked as an Information Technology Consultant for several years.
He enjoyed playing golf, reading and meeting up with close friends, and keeping in touch with his brothers and sister: William Alan (Jane Larson) Fullarton of Dublin, Ohio, James S (Cheryl) Fullarton of Davenport, Florida and Nancy R. Fullarton of Centerville, Ohio.
In addition to his siblings, he is survived by step-daughters Paula (Ed) Tautkus of Clinton, Connecticut and Kym Hardy (Sam) of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren Eddie, Paul John (PJ), Keith, Sterling, Bobby, and Dallas, greatgrandchildren Roisen, Braiden, Brantley and Brianna, two nephews, four nieces, numerous cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen Donoski Fullarton, parents William A. and Gwendolyn M. Fullarton, grandparents William R and Susan Fullarton and LeRoy and Angie Mundhenke.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the Spring.

Weeks prior to his passing, Bob had his first ever hole-in-one at Richmond Golf Course in Rhode Island. It happened around or about October 21, or 22, 2020, with the sun in our eyes. To the best of my recollection he struck a 9 iron into the par 3 12th hole. The 12th green is slightly elevated, about 125 yards. In the autumn sun, we couldn't see the ball go in from the tee box. When our foresome arrived at the green, Bob pointed into the hole and raised both hands above his head. He had finally achieved what so many golfers only wish they had on their resume.

Bob was a wonderful person...I enjoyed meeting with him and two other buddies for coffee on Thursday mornings at the "Hornets Nest in Branford. He was a positive and kind man...he will be missed...Rest in Peace Bob!
