Robert Massaro Obituary
October 28, 1942 - February 8, 2023
Robert W. Massaro (Bob) 80, of Sarasota, FL passed away on February 8, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob was born in New Haven, CT on October 28, 1942. Prior to relocating to Sarasota, FL 14 years ago, Bob lived most of his life in Cheshire, CT. He spent his career in the Graphic Arts Field. Bob learned to play the drums at an early age and enjoyed playing with various bands in CT. His favorite music was Jazz, although he played a variety of music. He also had a metal sculpture studio at Bittersweet Farm in Branford, CT where he created, displayed and sold his artwork. Bob had a passion for photography and had an eye for details. He enjoyed taking photos while on vacations to Italy, Canada, Maine, Cape Cod and the coastline of Florida.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine (Mongillo) Massaro of 41 years; a son, Robert E. Massaro, of Smyrna, GA; a stepdaughter, Lori Angeletti, of Sarasota, FL and a stepson, Joseph Calabrese, of Milford, CT. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Stephen (Anna) Mongillo, of Hamden, CT. He was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Massaro and a brother, William Massaro.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Sarasota, FL.

That's a great picture of Bob. A flood of memories flash by as I think of our friendship of almost sixty years. Jazz concerts, great meals,and many bottles of red wine.Bobby had an artist's soul. You could see it in his metal sculptures and sense it in the way he lived life. I miss you buddy .
