Ronald Mierzejewski Obituary

Ronald K. Mierzejewski Sr.
Ronald K. Mierzejewski Sr. passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Michael and Florence "Dolly" Angelo Mierzejewski. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Mierzejewski, and sister, Virginia and Robert Martens. He is survived by his son, Ronald Jr. and Diane Mierzejewski, granddaughter, Alexis (Andrew) Ranciato, and two great-granddaughters, nephew, Bobby (Paula) Martens, longtime partner, Judy (Fitzgerald) Thomas and her children and grandchildren. He was born on January 26,1943, in New Haven, CT. Ronald resided in West Haven and attended West Haven High School, where he was the captain of his basketball team, class of 1961. He was employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 37 years as a facilities manager. He was an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees, Rangers, Giants and Knicks. He also enjoyed watching and attending horse racing. Ron and Ronnie frequently attended Quinnipiac University men's hockey and basketball games together. He also enjoyed yearly trips to Florida and California.
The family thanks the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital and The Connecticut Hospice in Branford for their support during this difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to the All Saints Mausoleum, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, to attend a committal service on Monday morning, May 12th, at 11:00. www.northhavenfuneral.com
