Thomas F. Cacace
Thomas F. Cacace, 76, of North Haven, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Diane Flynn Cacace. Tom was born in New Haven on July 9, 1945, and was the son of Vincent and Julia (DelGaudio) Cacace. He graduated from Eli Whitney School, Class of 1963. Tom managed his family's business, the former Betty's Market, in Morris Cove and was a master carpenter and contractor for over 50 years. He was an avid sports car, aviation and history enthusiast and had been an U.S. Army reservist.
Tom was loved by all and known especially for his true devotion to his family. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by brother John Cacace of New Haven. He was the loving father of Heather Cacace Papa and her husband Richard and Melissa Cardito, both of Orange. Devoted Papa to his four cherished grandchildren Richard and Payton Papa, Christopher and Marin Cardito. Dear brother to Betty Ann Donegan of Branford, CT and Penny Cafferty of New Haven, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The visiting hours will be Thursday, Feb. 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue with a service to be conducted at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929. www.northhavenfuneral.com

I extend my sympathies to Tom's immediate and extended families on his passing. There are a lot of good memories of "TC" shared by quite a few of us growing up in Morris Cove.
