Thomas George Obituary

Thomas Edward George
Thomas Edward George, 67, of Hamden, passed away at his home on December 25, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Christine Teague George. Tom was born in Lakewood, OH on January 20, 1957 to the late Edward T. and Madelyn Shia George.
He began his college years at the University of Texas in Austin before graduating with his bachelor's from UCONN in pre-med biology. He went on to follow in his father's footsteps, enjoying a long career in computer science, developing software and working on several projects over the years. When not working, he enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to the Beatles. Walking daily was a must for Tom. In addition to his love for walking, he loved going to the gym. Spring was a special time for him as he prepared his famous vegetable garden. Family was very important to him, especially in his role as a father. Being a dad was the most important thing in his life.
Besides his wife, Tom will be lovingly remembered by his children, Anthony (Caleigh) Teague, Noah George, Lilah George, and Henry George; siblings, Stephen, Gary (Sue), Christopher (Marci Brennan) George; beloved by his family, Lawrence Teague (Barbara), Carlos Belo (Kelly), Patrick Teague (Melissa) and Terrence Teague (Jessica) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with his family on Monday, December 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Funeral Service will continue at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by his burial in All Saints Cemetery. To send a condolence to the family please see obituary at www.beecherandbennett.com

Tom´s Dad Ed and my Dad, John Wimberger, were great friends and I babysat for Tommy and his two and then three brothers. He was so bright, gifted-calm and adorable. May his family have all comfort and support possible as they live on.

Steve, Gary, and Chris I'm sorry to hear of your big brothers passing. I'll always remember him singing Beatles songs with Mike, Rich and Steve not to mention him driving us nuts practicing scales on his guitar. Prayers for all of you. Mac
