Thomas Hopperstad Obituary

Thomas J. Hopperstad
Thomas J. Hopperstad, 38, of Wallingford, passed away on Friday, July 29th, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that evening. Born in New Haven on July 18, 1984, he was the son of Elden J. Hopperstad and Charlene Clark Hopperstad. He was very involved with the Wallingford Vikings Football, and along with his son was also involved with Barans Kenpo Karate of Wallingford. He loved to cook and bake, especially penne alla vodka and his signature dessert, his cheesecake which was very much enjoyed by family and friends. Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle but most of all helping family and friends unconditionally when needed. Loving and devoted father of Zachary M. Hopperstad. Brother of James Joel Hopperstad and the late Christopher Andrew Hopperstad. Brother-in-law of Jessica Reed Hopperstad. Half-Brother of David Royal Hood. Stepbrother of Michele Devino and Christine Combes. Also survived by his former wife, Marie J. Hopperstad; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; and his loving partner April Cillo and her children.
The Visiting Hours will be Friday, August 5th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
