Thomas Schreck Obituary
Thomas Joseph Schreck, joyfully entered into the arms of his Savior on April 26, 2025. He was the son of the late Robert Schreck and Eileen Canning Schreck. Thomas graduated from Westbrook High School, received a bachelor's degree from Providence College and masters' degrees in Mathematics and Administration at Northeastern Illinois University. He had a thirty-two year career in education as a Bilingual and Mathematics teacher in the Chicago Public Schools System.
Thomas was a lifelong learner, musically inclined and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Glynn and late husband Michael, Maggie Gilhuly and husband Bob, Eileen Schreck and husband Ken Mathews; and brothers, Peter Schreck and wife Denise Levesque, Jim Schreck, Joseph Schreck and wife Sheila. He enjoyed his time with twenty-one cherished nieces and nephews; his aunt, Mary Reynolds; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Eileen Canning Schreck; father, Robert Schreck; and brother, Robert Schreck Jr. Friends are invited to go directly to Saint Mark Church, 222 McVeagh Road, Westbrook, on Monday, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made to Casa Catalina Greater Chicago Food Depository, 4537 S Ashland Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Arrangements are with Sisk Brothers Funeral Home in Hamden.
