Ann Steyh Obituary

NEWTON - Ann Karin Steyh, of Newton and formerly of Jefferson, passed away May 2 after complications with an illness. She joins her mother, Anna, her father, Oscar and brother, Adam.
Ann was a longtime Sussex County resident. Born on Dec. 29, 1956, in Paterson, she remained there for a few years before moving to Ogdensburg. Later, the family moved to Sparta, where Ann attended Pope John XXIII High School and worked at the family bakery, Steyh's Bakery.
Ann and her daughter moved to Hamburg in 1984, where she worked at Dunkin' Donuts in Franklin, Crystal Springs, and Accurate Forming before finally settling down at Mt.Hope/Tilcon, where she remained employed until her passing.
Ann is remembered as a hard worker, giving mother and wonderful caring grandmother. She is survived by her brothers, Frank and Adolf Steyh; sisters, Margaret Charbineau and Christa Dote; daughter, Anna; and grandson, Byron.
An open house memorial will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 15, at Sugarloaf Pavillion in Lewis Morris Park in Morris County. Speeches will be held at 5 p.m. If interested in attending, please email [email protected]. RSVPs are not necessary but are helpful.
