Betty Piagesi Obituary
Lou was a longtime employee of New Jersey Bell Telephone. She was an artist and photographer; she had a great love of poetry, was energetic and a prolific gardener, avid reader, was a member of both the Heath Village Art Club and the Panther Valley Art Club; and was active in the library and other community boards.
The daughter of the late late Carl W. and Georgia (Gearhart) Castner, she is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Raymond A. Piagesi; two daughters, Susan Piagesi, of Hackettstown, and Diane and her husband, Livio Zett, of Newton; a brother, Allen and his wife, Alice Castner, of Pittstown; two granddaughters, Alessandra and Francesca Zett; three sisters-in-law, Joan Piagesi, Jeanne Castner and Anna Florentine; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. for family and friends at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services, 615 North Broad St., Elizabeth, NJ 07208, or the charity of your choice.
