George C. Thebold

HASKELL - George C. Thebold, age 80, of Haskell, died Thursday, March 8, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., George grew up there and later moved to Long Island, New York. He had been a resident of Haskell for over 40 years.
George was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, target shooting, hiking and always appreciated a good meal.
George C. Thebold was the beloved husband of Cathy (Polito) Thebold. Loving father of Mary Aveta and her husband, Louis, of Fairview, George Thebold and his wife. Karen, of Ogdensburg, and Matthew Thebold and his wife, Linda, of Wanaque. Grandfather of David, Alex, Erin, Amanda, Kim, Josh and Tommy. Brother of Charlotte Polk and her husband, the late Donald. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be departing at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne for a 9:30 a.m. funeral service at the Hawthorne Gospel Church, Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. www.browningforshay.com.
