Dear Angela: It was with deep sorrow that we learned of your tragic loss. We did not know Gregory as a young man but only remember him as a happy, playful youngster with you in the restaurant.
There are no words we can offer that seem adequate, but we pray that your faith and your memories will comfort you at this time.

dear angie and family, i am so sorry for the loss of your son. me and greg knew eachother through our first recruiter, ssgt talbot and we got pretty close. greg and i was supposed to leave for bootcamp the same day but when we got to meps there was only enough room for one of us to go, both wanting to go more than anything, i gave the ship day to him and he told me he really appreciated what i did for him and that he didnt know how to repay me all i told him was to graduate bootcamp and became a marine. Greg was a great kid and he will be missed by his family friends and marine corps family, gob bless

Angela - oh how saddened I was to hear of your great loss. There are no words I can say to comfort your broken heart. As a grieving Mom myself, I know the pain only too well. Angie....it's hard to believe right now, but time will soften your grief. Just know that your son is now finding his peace in the arms of his Lord. May God be with you and your family with His Love and comfort during this most difficult time. Peace & blessings, Arlene Gundersen, Vernon, N.J.

Angie & family...
We were sorry to learn today of the tragic loss of your son, Gregory. We knew him to be respectful, fun-loving, and a very interesting young man. He showed a great love for adventure, so we were not surprised to learn that he became a US Marine. I wish I could have been there at HPRHS when he came to visit in his uniform. I am sure that he made everyone proud. We know that he was well raised and well loved. Pleas accept our deepest sympathy...

Angie & Family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg my freshmen year at HP. I was new and he made me feel like I had been there forever. I left HP my sophomore year, and we lost touch, but the smile he had was one I could never forget. Keeping your family very close to my heart during this hard time. Praying everyday.

Dear Angie,
The last time we were at the restaurant, I stood and viewed Greg's picture and read wonderful words about Greg. We asked the waitress about Greg. That was just a couple of weeks ago. Our hearts are heavy, so heavy for you. May you surround yourself with your family and friends with love and comfort like a warm blanket. We are so sorry. You are in our hearts, minds and prayers. I remember stories. You were so proud of him. May you continue to always be proud. The previous comments are a tribute to Greg and to you and your family. Bless all of you.

Angie, MaryAnne, Stephano, MaryAnne and you know I can continue. For once, which I'm sure you can believe for how long weve known each other, that I find myself not knowing what to say. The sheer sadness I feel for you is beyond words for you have always been and always will be family. Since I was 16 you took me in as family and I have always viewed you the same... always. For what its worth if there is ever anything I can do even if its just to talk I am always just a phone call away. I love you all and hope that you find strength within each other and for each other. I have so many fond memories of watching the kids grow up into remarkable young adults even though sometimes it was from afar....but it was always through the eyes of not a friend but an older brother. Again...I love you all and will always be here for you.

I met Greg at my home right before he went to Parris Island, SC as he & my Son, Scott were going motorcycle riding all over the back roads of Wantage so that Greg could show Scott how to really ride his R6 which is the same motorcycle as Greg had. I will always remember Greg from that one & only time as a fun loving soul that had a beautiful smile and was a true gentlemen. My son, Scott left this Monday for the same Marine Base that Greg was stationed at and he along with I send our sincere condolences to each & everyone of Greg's family & friends. May time and all the cherished memories you have of Greg some how ease your pain & sorrow. R. I.P. Greg, we will all miss you & cherish all those found memories of you until we meet again on the other side!

Dear Angie and Family,
Our hearts broke when we learned of the sudden, unexpected death of your Gregory, and I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow. I wish I had words to comfort and sustain you in your grief, but I know there are none that will take away any pain you are feeling now. Although words seem futile now in the midst of your sorrow, they are all I have to give you. Your son was an inspiration to everyone around him. I am so blessed and lucky to have known his beauty through your stories, and I will keep his spirit alive with the many sacred memories I hold close to my heart. Please accept these written words as warm hugs to wrap yourself in, and know that I am holding you, your husband and other children in my heart at this sad and difficult time.
Our warmest condolences,

Angie and family,
As I struggle to find words of comfort for you, all I am seeing is Greg and his beautiful smile standing in front of me at HPRHS. Greg was always a kind and respectful young man and I thought the world of him. I was so proud to hear that he had enlisted in the service and he, as well as all my other High Point "kids", held a special spot in my prayers for their safety. Hearing of your loss resonates deep within me as every child that has passed my path at HPRHS became a part of me. The Lord has chosen Greg for a higher purpose than that which he served here, and although that doesn't always take our pain away, to know that he resting in the hands of our Lord should provide some comfort. My love, prayers and sincerest condolences to you and your family. I will remember Greg always.

Dear Glen and Angela,
Please know that all of us at Acrow are saddened by your loss. I did not know your son, only what I heard from Bobby about what a nice boy he was and what a pleasure it was to work with him. You must be so proud of Greg as he accomplished so much in such a short time.

Greg was my student at High Point and we clicked from day #1. As a former Marine, I don't always encourage some students to "go in", but with Greg it was easy to encourage him. I could see how badly he wanted to become a Marine. His award winning smile worked magic in high school, I advised him that when he hit Parris Island his "D.I.s" might not be "so taken" with it. I will miss that smile, I will miss him. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and fellow Marines. You will be missed. Semper Fi!

Dear Postigione Family. I was brokenhearted to hear of Greg's passing. I had the priviledge of getting to know Greg by tutoring him in Geometry (I was his geometry teacher in high school) and then tutoring him in Algebra 2 over the summer. He was special to me; he had a good heart, sense of humor and I enjoyed his company. I was very proud of him when he came back to High Point to visit in his uniform. Having lost my two daughters within a two year period, I can empathize with the pain and sorrow you must be feeling. There is some comfort in knowing that the sufferings and pain of this world are now over and that he is in the eternal arms of his Heavenly Father. You will be in my prayers.
WIth deepest sympathy,

I don't even know where to begin. Post was, and still is, my brother in arms. He trusted us with his life while in Afghanistan together, and we trusted his with ours. The moment Post joined our platoon he was welcomed with open arms. His motivation and drive to learn quickly sealed his bond with myself and the other marines of 1st platoon 1/9 Charlie Co. We spent every waking hour together, while in the US and in Afghanistan. Not a second goes by now that we're not sitting here waiting for that smile he always wore, to come in and try to wrestle with us, or join in on the daily bickering. I, and the rest of Charlie company, will surely miss the hell out of Postiglione. He is a brother to us all.
To the family and loved ones of Post; words can't describe the pain that you're going through. Greg has touched a lot of lives with his smile and personality. He will truly be missed and if there is absolutely anything you need, feel free to get ahold of any of us.
Rest easy Postiglione. If you're not first, you're last.

I am so, so sorry I keep on crying. But then I remember when Greg was 3 and let Maryann and Ashley dress him up and put makeup on him. He just giggled and laughed. Then as he grew up and was 12 how he helped me up when I kept falling down in the snow at Vernon. While the girls just laughed and left us behind. He was the one that stayed. I will always love and miss him.
