Harry Deppner Obituary

ANDOVER TWP. -- Harry J. Deppner, 74, of Andover Township, died peacefully at home on Monday afternoon.

Born in Tobyhanna, Pa., Harry moved to New Jersey at the age of 6 and was a longtime resident of Sussex County. He was a maintenance worker and electrician at the former Limestone Products in Andover Township, retiring in 1986 after 25 years of service. After his retirement from Limestone, Harry viewed each day as a gift to spend with family and friends. He attended the First Baptist Church of Newton.

The son of the late Albert and Bernice Smith Deppner, Mr. Deppner is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Cassimore Deppner; two sons, John Deppner of Lafayette and George Deppner of Millington; three grandsons, Justin of Sparta, Jared of Andover and Harrison of Millington; two great-grandsons, Jack and Kyle; one brother, Francis Deppner of Maryland; and four sisters, Phyllis Shoemaker of Pennsylvania, Catherine Killen of Ohio, Lorraine Wardle of New Jersey and Mary Cassimore of Maine.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 110 Main St., Newton, NJ 07860, or B.A.R.K.S., P.O. Box 593, Stanhope, NJ 07874. Online condolences can be made at www.smithmccrackenfuneralhome.com.
