Jim Egan

I worked with "Mr. Ruby" for many years at the county jail. He was always a gentleman to me and a professional officer to the inmates. We went to the Academy together but I learned more about how to be an officer from him than from any school. He was my Sunday morning partner for more than a decade and I missed him greatly after he retired. I always shall.

My sincere sympathy to the Ruby family.
We used to live in Sparta, on #9 Under Rock Road, across the street from your home. We moved in 1979 so you probably do not remember us. Jim was working for the Port Authority Police Dept. as I remember.
I was honored to play Taps at the cemetery for Jim today. I hope in some small way to have added some dignity and respect to this morning's service.
May God bless you all.
