Louis Canepa Obituary

Louis "Louie" Canepa, Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Gilbert, AZ on November16, 2008. He was 82 yrs old. He was born on March 23, 1926 to Dante and Anita Canepa in Santa Cruz. He was the sixth and last son to serve in the military during WWII which earned his mother the Gold Eagle w/ 5 stars. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife Frances Canepa of Gilbert, AZ, two sons Dante "Dan" Julie Canepa of Chandler, AZ and Steven Dante Sherry of Sequim, WA, a brother, Aldo Canepa of Santa Cruz, four sisters, Venice Michaelsen of Santa Cruz, Elsie Nerell of Oakland, OR, Marie Marietti of Santa Cruz and Beverly Ewald of Bullhead City, AZ. He is also survived by 8 grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 20, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Falconer Funeral Home 251 W Juniper Ave, Gilbert, AZ. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, California.
