Marilyn Schaal

Marilyn J. Schaal FRANKLIN - Marilyn J. Schaal, 74, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at her home. Mrs. Schaal was born in Monticello, N.Y., July 7, 1932, the daughter of Bruce and Anna Kinne Close. She had resided in Franklin for the past 44 years. Mrs. Schaal worked at the former Jamesway in Wantage. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Schaal, in 1982, and is survived by two children, Linda Lukawitz of Franklin and Robert Schaal of Lords Valley, Pa.; two brothers, Donald Close of Greenville, S.C., and Douglas Close of Queens, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at 8:30 p.m., at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St. Franklin. Cremation will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
