Mary Ann Duthaler

VERNON - Mary Ann (Callas) Duthaler, 85, of the Highland Lakes area of the township, died at Morristown Medical Center on Tuesday, July 11, after a short illness.
Born to William and Katherine Callas in Jersey City, she had lived in Rutherford and vacationed in Highland Lakes before
moving to Highland Lakes 20 years ago.
Mary had worked as a legal secretary for many years and was a dedicated homemaker, caring for her husband and family. She was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick, N.Y., and was a member of the Highland Lakes Senior Citizens, bocci, Red Hatters and several card clubs.
Mary loved traveling with her husband and friends. She took great joy in
spending time with family, friends and, especially, her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mary is predeceased by a brother, George Callas, and is the beloved wife for 61 years of Robert Duthaler Sr., of Highland Lakes. She is the devoted mother of Laurie Megna and her husband, John, of Vernon; Mary Kate Nangle and her husband, Raymond, of Elmwood Park; Robert Duthaler Jr. and his wife, Kathryn, of Sparta; and Janice Wallace and her
husband, Craig, of Vernon. She is the loving grandmother of Katie Gagliardi and her husband, John; Alyssa Bond and her husband, Jake; Courtney and Colleen Megna; Kerri and Dana Nangle; R.J., Sean and Erin Duthaler; Robert and Riley Wallace. She is the great-grandmother of Madison and Ella Gagliardi.
The family will receive their friends from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 17, at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South St., Warwick, N.Y., Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon.
