Patrick Ward Obituary

LINCOLN PARK - Patrick C. Ward, 77, of Lincoln Park, died on Jan. 1.
Born in New York City, Patrick was the son of Hugh and Margaret Ward. Raised in the Bronx, he graduated from Fordham Prep before earning his B.S. in Physics from Fordham University, and later his M.S. in Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology. Patrick had a long career as a physicist, employed by NASA, as well as other leaders in the aerospace and specialty lamp industries.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 50 years, Monica; his children, Molly Fagan and her husband, Kieran, Jane Ward and her partner, David Coleman, and Kate Myles and her husband, Peter; his sister, Hannah Ward; and his grandchildren, Patrick and Claire Fagan, Dermot and Conor Curtin, and Neil Myles. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Manning.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., today, at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 4, at St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln Park. Burial of ashes will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. www.scanlanfuneralhome.com.
