Robert Brancy Obituary

HARDYSTON -- Robert F. Brancy, 83, of the Crystal Springs section of Hardyston, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Bentley Assisted Living in Frankford.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Brancy lived in the Texas Panhandle, then lived in Sparta for 35 years before moving to Hardyston in 1989. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. A 1959 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Mr. Brancy earned a business degree. He was the director of design and construction for American Express in New York City, retiring in 1992 with 25 years of service.

The son of the late Andrew A. and Helen (nee Albusto) Brancy, Mr. Brancy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna R. Brancy, of Hardyston; two sons, Andrew S. Brancy and his wife, Karen L., of Milford, Pa., and Douglas C. Brancy and his wife, Marie-Elizabeth, of Sparta; and four grandchildren, Garrett, Marshall, Travis and Joshua.

Services and interment are private and under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
