Robert Goarcke Obituary
Born in Newton, Robert was a lifetime resident of Green Township. He was a 1982 graduate of Sussex County Technical School and was employed by Blue Ridge Lumber for the past 22 years. He loved animals and enjoyed being outdoors. RobertÕs final generous act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
The son of the late Jacqueline Naomi Powers Goarcke, Robert is survived by his father, Carl J. Goarcke of Green Township; one brother, Thomas Goarcke, also of Green Township; one sister, Theresa Ayres and her husband, Jeff, of Endicott, N.Y.; three nieces, Britnie, Heather and Kristin; three nephews, Kyle, Catlin and Dylan; and his paternal grandmother, Lenora Goarcke of Franklin.
A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday at the Tranquility Community House (across from the Tranquility United Methodist Church).
Memorial donations may be made to the Allamuchy-Green Rescue Squad, 25 Maple Ave., Andover, NJ 07821, or the American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Online condolences may be offered at www.smithmccrackenfuneralhome.com.
