DICKEY
Cecil Dickey, 71, of Edgewood, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was an Electrician with IBEW Local #212. Cecil was a member of IBEW Local #212, collected antique cars, loved to fish and was a prankster. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ruth Dickey and brother, Ronald Dickey. Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie Dickey of Edgewood, daughters, Suzi (Drew) Kahler of Fortson, GA, Jerri Dickey of Edgewood, Chris (Steve) Menkhaus of Edgewood, Michelle Schildmeyer of Florence; grandchildren, Richard Freimuth, William Menkhaus, Michael Menkhaus and Courtney Leighton; great-grandson, Michael Martin. Visitation is Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4:00 PM to the hour of service at 7:00PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016. Friends and Family invited to Interment on Thursday, April 3, 2013 at 10:00AM in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home serving the family. Bonnie, Suzi, Jerri and Chris:I was at Oak St. today and a friend told me of Cecil's death. I am so very sorry to hear about his passing. I would have been at the service had I known. Cecil and I go back many years and we were always friends. I even looked for him, Bonnie and Jerri at the Spring Fling. If he suffered, he is now at peace. God Bless all of you and my prayers will be that he will be in heaven and that his wife and dear girls will be able to remember that we are only on this earth for a short time in comparison to being in heaven. My heart is heavy and know that I care about all of you.

May Uncle Cecil's soul rest in peace. I confidently believe that God will accept him with open arms for all the good he did while he was on this earth. I am blessed to have known him. It is uplifting and comforting to reflect on the loving memories of Cecil.
Suzi, Jerri, Chris - I miss all of you, and want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May our Lord comfort and bless you and your family during this time of grief.

Chris and Steve, I am truly sorry for your loss and send my prayers to you and your families. May the Angels of Mercy and Comfort be with each of the family members during this time of mourning. Mr Dickey,
what an awesome man you were. I met you when I was diving at brookwood and you helped me since you were a very good diver. Now you know truly how much you helped me because you are in heaven and know everything. You always encouraged me and you were a big part of my first place finish in champ meet in 1983. You helped me the week before when I was doubting myself. You forced me to believe in myself when I didnt. But most of all, you were a wonderful person...you will be missed but heaven is better now that you are there. Tell my dad hello. thanks for being a great guy.
