I met Dan when we pledged the PR Fraternity at Eastern. We lived together in the PR House and drilled on several national drill competitions where we almost always finished first. Dan was a fine man, a great Officer and a dear friend -- I will miss him a lot.

To all Dan's Family and Friends:
Byron and I extend our most sincere sympathy to each of you. The best time of our lives was spent at Craig's Creek, Dan's Marina, on the TAULE. Dan and Marsha made it a very lovely place to vacation and spend our weekends.

I was a classmate of Dan's and a Pershing Rifle brother. We pledged together and drilled together all those many years ago. So many years together and yet we drift apart. Sounds like he certainly enjoyed his life. My sympathies to the family.

Good luck Dan:

I was a PR pledge in 1963. I looked up to you then. I'm glad to hear you became a good officer.

My condolences to your family.

Sincerely,
E.J. "Herbie" Hacker

Dan was a good friend. I spent many hours with him when we were trying to win the riverboat license from the State of Indiana. Dan knew the Ohio River as well as anyone that I ever met. I will always remember the times we went out on the river in his houseboat. He will be missed.
