Edward Moore Obituary
Edward Allen Moore, age 86, of Independence, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He was a retired District Supervisor for Cincinnati Gas and Electric, a member of the Bradford Masonic Lodge and a member and Deacon at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Ed was a devoted Christian man, who enjoyed cattle farming and spending time with his grandchildren. His wife, Betty Moore, preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by his children, Margaret Ellen Ball (Charlie), Joseph Allen Moore, Jeffrey Clay Moore, and James Leslie Moore (Kim); sister-in-law, Helen Moore; grandchildren, Jay Allen Moore, Jerrod Anthony Moore (Autumn), Amanda M. Wagner-Cocco, Sara M. Shvartz (Yaron), Brian M. Ball, Charles Ball, Jr., Jaron Clay Moore, Carrie Maynes, Marlee Barton, T.J. Barton, Ella Moore, Emma Moore, Lily Moore, and Megan Moore; and twenty-three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Masonic services beginning at 10:45 a.m at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn St., #1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203 or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Rd., Florence, KY 41042.
