Frank J. Kopich

West Chester - Frank J. Kopich, 78, West Chester, Ohio, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 after a short stay in the Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born on August 4, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Frank and Anna (Yakobosky) Kopich. After graduating from Cass Twp. High School in Primrose, Pennsylvania, he joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier in places such as Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and the Mediterranean Sea as a member of the VF-41 Black Aces Squadron. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1960 he attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship, graduating in 1964. His success as a business man led him to start several of his own companies, including PermaView of Cincinnati and Pella Marketing Systems, serving as founder, president, and CEO of each. Frank was a man of many interests and talents and possessed a great sense of humor. He was an avid reader, always ready for a lively discussion on most any topic. An ardent supporter of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats athletic programs and a member of the UCATS, he was also a former member of Terrace Park Country Club and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his loving partner, Christine Woodard of West Chester, Ohio; son, Dr. Frank Kopich of Aspen, Colorado; daughter, Karen (Tom) Falter of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Bob (Marlene) Kopich of Union, Kentucky; sister, Barbara Lyon of Pembroke Pines, Florida; three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life gathering in Frank's honor will be held on Saturday, February 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Terrace Park Country Club 5341 South Milford Road, Milford, OH 45150. What a great guy. From Pella Window to vacations together, from UC football games to fighting his cancer.....Frank always wore a smile and was a gentleman to all. Heaven is a better place today.

'to Franks (Buff,s)family and friends. May God bless y,all in this time of sorrow. Prayers and Condolences to all. I was a 56 Cass twp class mate and spent a tad of time with him in the good ole USN. It was great seeing him at Cass reunions. Lots of sea stories shared. A man of great character.

Frank and I worked at Steelcraft back in the day. We have remained friends all these years! Frank helped me with my Pella Windows, which I'll always be grateful for his wisdom. The last dinner I had with him was at Terrace Park Country Club. What a fighter! He was a good man and will be missed. I'll look forward to seeing him again on the other side.
