Gary Steven Chestnut, 22, of Fort Mitchell, KY passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Gary was a member of Christ's Chapel Church in Erlanger, KY. Gary is survived by his loving parents, mother; Angela Mayer (Nick), father; Gary I. Chestnut (Cathie), beloved siblings; Alexa, Kylie, Kaylen, and Kambrey Chestnut, and Bethany Mayer, maternal grandmother Sandra Medley, paternal grandparents Gary R. and Barbara Chestnut, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm at Christ's Chapel at 3819 Turfway Road, Erlanger, KY 41018. The funeral Service will take place Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10am at Christ's Chapel in Erlanger, KY. Burial will take place following the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to The Gary Chestnut Benefit Account through any Bank of Kentucky Location. Serenity Funeral Care in Covington, KY will be handling the arrangements and online condolences for the family can be expressed at

My family is so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I taught Gary in several classes when he was in school. He was simply a very happy and loving young man. We always kidded around about his grandparents being my Aunt and Uncle. He thought that was simply hilarious. Either that or he thought his cousin was just an old woman. Regardless, he was wonderful to just be around and I will always remember those happy moments together. Gary was a special young man, who touched a lot of people. He will always be remembered. Love and prayers to you forever Gary. Thank you for all the precious memories.
