I knew Hap at Mine 33, but not well. I got to know him well years later when he came to work for Miltech Energy Services. Once, while working on a project together, we had to stop by my house. Hap had never met my wife. On the way, he asked me a few questions about her. Once I introduced them, he carried on the best conversation with her for a good while, and it was all about her. A real gentleman. Also, he adored his grandchildren. He would beam when he talked about them. A good man.

Jason and Family,
We want to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your Dad was the best person and loved you and your family so much. He, our cousin Marcia, and myself were all born within 3 months of each other. We were the best of friends as we grew up together. Almost every Sunday we would come to Grandmas and have so much fun together. I met you at your Uncle Joes funeral but not sure you remember me. I am so sorry we cannot come to the funeral at this terrible time in our lives and the world. Again our hearts go out to you and I am so very saddened by his passing.
Love,
Eileen (Popovnak) and Jim Winski
