Kenneth Bockenstette Obituary
Cincinnati - Kenneth Robert Bockenstette, born February 3, 1934, died at age 84. Long time resident of Cincinnati, he passed at his home near Greenville, SC on Monday morning, September 3, 2018 after a long battle with lung disorder. Loving husband to his wife of 43 years, Calista Ellen (nee Schroeder). Devoted father of Kim (Jim) Henninger, Karen Gay, Catherine (Gary) Atwell, Cristine (Ray) Morris, Kenneth Robert Jr. (Pam) Bockenstette , Carol Priest and Keith (Karen) Bockenstette. Devoted step father to Heather (nee Clipson) Kanipe and Jessica Clipson (Lay). Grandfather of 8, 3 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. Survived by his wife, sister, Ruth and brother, William. Preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Martha (nee Dreier), his first wife Carolyn (nee Herolzer), his daughter Carol Priest and sister Lois (Cliff) Wilke. Ken was a retired engineer having worked for Krogers, Nestier Plastics, and owner of Bockenstette Developments. Long retired, Ken delighted in model railroading and reminiscing his football days at Elder HS and U. of Dayton. Ken has contributed his body to science at the U of South Carolina followed by cremation. There will be a mass of eternal rest at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 48 W Sharon Ave, Glendale, on Friday, Sept 14 at 10 AM. Memorial gifts may be made to Interim HealthCare of Greenville SC, 16 Hyland Rd, Greenville, SC 29615.

I met Ken when I worked for him at Nestier Plastics. I I remember him as a strong, dedicated, kind and loving man. He was certainly patient while teaching me his side of the plastics business, working with me on the drawing board. I offer my sincere condolences to Calista (Ellen) and his entire family.
