Nancy Rust Obituary
California - Nancy Lee Rust (nee Winters), 72, of California, KY, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood, KY. Nancy graduated from A.N.D P. Academy, Newport, KY. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, where she was one of the founding members of "Women Who Care" and she volunteered at Sts. Peter & Paul School. Nancy also provided administrative support at her husband's law office. Nancy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry J. Rust; five children: Kevin (Lisa) Rust, Kimberly (William) Rector, Keith Rust, Kyle Rust, and Kathryn (Robert) Mason; three siblings: Leroy (Phyllis) Winters, Joyce (James) Schalk and Patricia (the late Albert) Schmitt; eight grandchildren: Nicholas and Anna Rust, Joseph, Adam, Samuel, and Emily Rector and Audrey and Leo Mason. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Winters, her mother, Rosemary Ryan Winters Purcell and stepfather, Donald Purcell. Visitation 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Interment to follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Sts. Peter & Paul Student Financial Aide Program, 2160 California Crossroads, California, KY 41007 or to JDRF Ride to cure Diabetes, 8050 Hosbrook Road, Suite 314, Cincinnati, OH 45236. Nancy was my cherished friend, and I will miss her terribly. We had many adventures together over the years. Her laughter was contagious! Rest well, my friend, in God's loving arms. My heart aches for Harry, Kim, Kevin, Keith, Kyle, Katy and their families.
