HENSLEY

Robert C. Hensley, 89, of Petersburg, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1924 in Petersburg to the late George Willis and Sarah Ryle Hensley. Robert was a truck driver for Sattler Brothers Trucking, member of Petersburg Baptist Church and a WWII Army veteran, having been in the Battle of the Bulge, the Ardennes Forest and Crossing the Rhine, campaigns. His wife, Irene Stacy Hensley, son, Timothy Wayne Hensley and daughter, Stevanna Runion preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Robert H. (Cheryl) Hensley of Union, daughter, Debbie Hensley of Petersburg, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, November 15, 12 Noon at MIDDENDORF-BULLOCK FUNERAL HOME, HEBRON. Visitation will begin there Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Petersburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017. On-line guest book at www.middendorfbullock.com
