Sharon Phillips Obituary
Sharon Lee Ann (Stephens) Phillips, "Nana", 73, passed away early Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen L. Phillips in late September 2016. Sharon leaves her children; Stephanie (Jim) Mardis and Stephen (Michelle) Phillips; her granddaughters Samantha and Gabrielle Mardis; and grandsons Joshua Mardis and Stephen Phillips. Sharon was born in Covington, KY to Harry and Dorothy (Williams) Stephens in 1943. Sharon married her husband of 51 years, Steve, in 1965. Sharon spent her life assisting to manage their family business, Phillips Repair Service, which operated until 2016. In 1991, Sharon entered what she claimed to be her "favorite time in her life" as she became a Nana to her first grandchild. She spent a great deal of time over the years caring for, spending time with, and playing a very active role in the lives of her four grandchildren. Sharon will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the blessing she was in each of their lives. Her comforting words and presence will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those that she deeply touched. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 12-2PM at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME- LATONIA, 214 W. Southern Ave. Latonia, KY 41015. A service will immediately follow. Dear Stephanie & Steve,
Bill and I are so very sorry to see the passing of your Mom. We have wonderful memories of spending time with her and your Dad. It brakes my heart for all of you family to have lost both of them in such a short time. However it is wonderful to think that they are together again especially for this beautiful time of the year. I sure do wish we could be with all of you and had I known they were not well, for sure I would have been there. We will remember them in our prayers. I will cherish the times we had together and have always missed the later years being together. Please know that we always wanted to be in touch. I think of them so often and again my heart goes out to each of you at this very sad time.
