Stephen Sutton

Knoxville, TN - Stephen Kelly Sutton, age 64, of Knoxville TN, passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2021 at his home. Survivors include his siblings Kathy Knueven (partner Dick Trump), Mike Sutton (Kym), Suzy Matthews (Kevin) and numerous nieces and nephews, longtime friend Kelli Turner and beloved dog Buddy. Steve was a 1974 graduate of Covington Catholic HS, a 1978 graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned a degree in optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 1983. He practiced optometry for 39 years in Tennessee. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Sutton and his mother, Patricia Kelly Sutton. Steve was always the engaging person and never met a stranger that he did not speak with and like. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing. He loved to read and work crossword puzzles. A private, family and close friend's celebration of life for Steve will be held on April 18th.
