How do I begin? I was truly blessed the day Tipp asked me to start picking him up for church. We would take Tipp to church every Sunday and eat and visit afterwards. He loved Rumpke's, KFC, and chili dogs!

When we moved back to Ashland, KY we brought Tipp here for several visits. He loved seeing the train yard of CSX, driving up over Rt. 23.

My whole family loved Tipp, as did everyone who met him! He NEVER met a stranger and showed the same character to every person he met.

We were privileged to take him on several trips, including some of my favorite were the trip to the Covered Bridge on the AA Hwy, Renfroe Valley, and Nashville, TN. That trip to the Grand Ole Opry was really something! We got to go backstage and meet all the guests. People were more amazed at Tipp though, than the stars. It was so cool!

I loved Tipp! He was my 'adopted' grandpa and Heaven has waited a long time for him. I know the Lord greeted him right at the Pearly Gates.

Rest in Peace Tipp; you sure made this world a better place

I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle Tipp -actually my father's(Homer Davis) uncle about 10 yrs ago. What a nice Christian man he was. I look forward to meeting him again in Heaven along with all the other Davis clan that I never really got a chance to know.

My sympathy to Georgia, Trina and their family. Were do you begin, Mr. Davis has touched so many People over the years, I remember Skeeter singing around the June Apple tree, watching Billy Gram revivials, winter's helping each other up the snow covered road, horse back riding, milking cows, bringing in the hay, fishin at the pond, The horse trail, christmas's cheer's, chatting for hours on a warm sunny day, lessoning to his song's to Jesus, looking at his pictures of year gone by, so much etc. Mr. Davis was a true Gentleman who shared so much with his friends of Northern Kentucky, he will always be remembered in my Heart.

Tip will be greatly missed! We will miss signing his books and his singing to me every time he saw us, and his great smile! A great man with a huge heart.

Tipp was such a joy to be around, he made you feel like a V.I.P. when he asked you to sign his autograph book. The Lord has blessed him with a long fruitful life, and he has touched many lives in his journey. This family has been hit hard, losing two family members in such a short time. Will continue to cover this family with prayer.

My Uncle Tipp was also my surrogate daddy for many of my young years when my own Daddy had to travel to other states to find work. He was so kind, with a gentle way about him seldom found in others.I thank God for him.He had faith which God looks for in all of us.

My sympathy to Georgia and the family. I remember Tipp and his wife when they drove school buses for Dixie Heights High. They were friendly and so kind to have "adopted" Skeeter. Little did they know then ... The photo was recognizable because of the same smile I saw at 3:00 when we boarded the buses. Glad that there was a Tipp Davis Day. He deserved it.
