Virginia Sandfoss Obituary

SANDFOSS

Virginia Lee "Boots" Sandfoss from Silver Grove, Kentucky began her eternal life on Wednesday August 6, 2014, reuniting with her true love her husband William Joseph "Bill" Sandfoss, her parents Bernard Smith and Alice Waldenmeyer Smith and a sister Donna Sue Reinert. Boots is survived by her six sons Jim (Sandy) of Cold Springs, Terry (Paula) of Silver Grove, Tim (Cindy) of Alexandria, Tony (Jerri) of Alexandria, Todd of Silver Grove, and Marty of Silver Grove, also her one and only daughter Shirley (Terry) Brown of Silver Grove. 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Boots is also survived by her two sisters: Wanda Sandfoss of Bellevue and Billie Jean Kopp of Melbourne and her brother Bernard "Sonny" Smith of Butler. Virginia "Boots" 88 years old, born November 8, 1925, was a lifelong resident of Silver Grove, Kentucky where everyone came to know the kindest woman in the city who worked hard every day of her life whether it was her 30 plus years working at the local grocery stores in Silver Grove, cooking and cleaning at St. Philip's Parish, or babysitting grandkids and great grandkids or simply lending her gentle touch to one of her neighbors. Boots worked hard to make someone else's life a little easier and a lot better as only she could do. Boots was member of the Silver Grove Auxiliary and Bells and Bows. Boots was the most senior member of the city of Silver Grove. Boots generous soul and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her love for family was felt above all else. Boots will be laid to rest on Tuesday August 12, 2014. A visitation will be held at St. Philip's Church in Melbourne, Kentucky from 9:00am-1:002pm and mass will be held at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family. Online condolences can be left at cooperfuneralhome.net. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice and/or St. Philip's Parish.

I will miss her kindness and smile. There was never a time that I saw her that she did not smile and make the day happy. Condolences to all of her family. You have been fortunate and Silver Grove blessed to have her influence in your lives.
