Amanda Paz Obituary

Amanda Martínez Paz, age 94, passed away in Seal Beach, California, on October 19th, 2025.
Amanda lived in Nogales, Arizona, nearly all her life until 2014, when she moved to Seal Beach to be with her sister.
She led an extraordinary life-marked by strength, humor, hard work, and a generous heart that touched so many.
Amanda was a force of nature. She gave, she led, she lifted others up. We are better because we knew her-because we were loved by her.
After graduating from Nogales High School in 1949, Amanda began working at Comercial Distributors. This launched a lifelong career in office management, eventually leading to her longtime role as manager of Tricar Produce Sales.
Amanda was the founder of the Nogales, Arizona Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. A natural-born leader, she poured her heart into mentoring and inspiring women of all ages and backgrounds. She was honored to serve as keynote speaker at the National ABWA Conference, where she proudly reminded the audience that Mexican women have a seat at the table.
Amanda had many passions: she loved gardening, was an avid painter with works displayed at the Hilltop Gallery, and found joy in traveling, collecting antiques, playing canasta, and hosting lively gatherings.
In her later years, Amanda continued giving back as a volunteer ambassador for the Seal Beach Police Department-a role she took great pride in.
Amanda's vibrant spirit earned her many dear friendships, and she was a proud Godmother to many.
She is survived by her sister Maria Rogers, her brother Ramón Paz, and her sister-in-law Janet Paz. She was a beloved aunt to Anna (Joe) Woyjeck, Tracey (Dino) Gotsis, and Tammy (Tim) Combs; a devoted great-aunt to Bobby Woyjeck, Noah Gotsis, Madeline Bryson, Natalie Gotsis, and Joshua Combs; and a great-great-aunt to two nieces and three nephews.
Amanda has gone home to be with Jesus and is now reunited with her beloved father, Ramon, her brother-in-law Ralph Rogers, and her dear nephews Robert Rogers, Joey Paz, and Kevin Woyjeck.
Should friends and family want to honor her memory, donations can be made to the Kevin Woyjeck Explorers for Life Association explorersforlife.org.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Leisure World, 13900 Church Place, Seal Beach, CA 90740.
