Ricardo Heredia Obituary

Ricardo Heredia, 84, of Tucson , passed away November 1 2025 in Tucson Arizona.
Ricardo was born on September 21 1941 in Nogales Arizona USA.
He graduated from Patagonia High School in 1959 where he received his High School Diploma.
He married Catalina Higgins, The love of his life on January 30 1965. They raised 3 wonderful children and work eventually moved them from Nogales AZ to Three Points and finally to Tucson in 1987.
Ricardo had a career with the Arizona Department of Transportation and worked for ADOT for 40 years.
Ricardo had a passion for sports and was a huge fan of University of Arizona, Football, Basketball, Softball and of course Baseball where his son Gilbert Heredia, helped the Wildcats win the College World Series in 1986. His biggest passion though was being a Tata to his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ricardo would always light up when talking with or about his grandchildren. He had a huge impact on their lives and he will be sorely missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Elena Heredia and brothers Manuel and Juan Heredia.
He is survived by wife Catalina, children Gilbert Heredia, MaAntonieta Heredia, and Yvonne Keane, grandchildren Chris Reed, Ashley Reed, Alexa Hardwick, Erika Walker, Sierra Brindley, Grace Keane and Matthew Keane, great grandchildren Theo and Harlow Walker and Campbell and Hudson Hardwick.
Services will be held on Thursday November 20th at St Augustine Cathedral at 9:30 a.m.
