What a true friend and "family" Ad was to our family. We will miss him so much. Mr. Ad was a second father to our children and a brother to us. Pat and Bill Nauck

To Leanne and Theo,

We are sorry we were so far away and unable to attend the funeral for your dad. I know that the circumstances of his death were similar to those of my dad; I feel your loss. We pray that the days ahead bring some relief and solace in knowing that your father is now experiencing eternal bliss, resting forever in peace.

We are truly sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

Steven & Misty

I enjoyed working with Ad as a colleague in the Baton Rouge Instrument community. He was a true leader and was selfless in his giving to the profession.

I also wish to express my condolences to the entire family. I always look forward to moments of reflecting with Lenny and I certainly appreciated Leanne's service to my mother during her stay at Lakewood quarters. Their character proves indeed that "an acorn doesn't fall very far from the Oak tree"!

God Bless all,

Rick

Bettye and family,

So sorry to learn of Ad's death. I just found out and am very sorry that I didn't make the service.

We ALL know that Ad had to tell St. Peter a few jokes before entering the Pearly Gates. Hope that he "cleaned them up a little".

We'll always remember Ad fondly and will keep you in our prayers - NOT Ad - he's doing alright about now!

Love, Butch

Ad LaPlace; the nicest, most sincere person we have ever had the privilege to know. You could walk into a crowded room, hear that special laugh, and know that he was in the room. You could walk up five minutes after he met a perfect stranger, and think he was talking to a lifelong friend. Any friend of Ad's was not merely a friend, but a "member" of the family. We have lost a special person, a perfect friend, a "member" of the family.

I didn't know Mr. LaPlace personally, but have heard wonderful stories from many mutual friends. He was special to many people. My condolences to the entire family, especially to his son and my friend Lenny LaPlace.

I will always remember Mr. Ad, He and Ms. Betty live next door to my grandparents. I used to play with Leanne when I was little. He would work in his shop while we jumped on the trampoline...I went to my very first football game with them. He and Ms. Betty will always remain a pleasant childhood memory. My heart goes out to his family.

The world will truly miss Ad's joy and happiness. He lit up the darkest room by just being there.

Ad was so much fun to be around. His laugh was "one of a kind." You didn't have to be around him for very long before he had you laughing just as hard as he was. My family will always remember the good times we had with him.

I would like to offfer my sincere condolences to Ad's family. Ad was a great friend and a wonderful person. He taught me a lot, not only about Instrumentation, but about life. He will truly be missed.

Ad was one of my favorite people; even when we disagreed on an issue. Many people would like to be labeled "one of a kind". Ad really was a unique personality because he made life fun for himself and the people he touched.
