A Message to My Sister,
I woke up Thursday morning and I still could not believe that you were gone. I know you are here with us in spirit, but being a mere human I have a need to see your physical body. You are my hero, my inspiration and my support. I’ll miss those telephone calls, those weekend visits, those shopping trips and our travel together. I’ll miss your words of support, your love, your strength, your smile, and your laughter. But most of all I’ll miss the part you played in my life and the part I played in yours.
The promises I made to you on Tuesday will never be broken. You are not just my sister, but you are my friend. “Chances made us Sisters, hearts made us friends”. We share a special bond because we both had to deal with serious illnesses. Whenever we got bad news we had this agreement that we would cry for one day and the next day we would depend on our faith and always think positively. As I told you on Tuesday, I don’t know if I can keep that agreement today. I need more than one day to cry. My heart is broken. I know it will heal because you will always be in my heart.
So sister, take your rest, you have fought a valiant battle and you are the winner, because on Tuesday, December 20, 2008 you were Welcomed Home by the Angels into the Kingdom of God.
I love you with all my heart,
Karen

Dear Shirley and The Franklin Family
Sometimes things are easier to bear when you know friends care. Please know that I'm hear for all of you if you need me. I knew Adria since she was a baby, and she grew to be such a beautiful woman and I know you were so proud. Children remember all the great things your mother(Adria) tought you, remember her laughter, know that she's still with you , right in your heart and she'll still be here to watch over you as your new Hevenly Angel. Shirley please know that at a time like this, no one ever know what to say, but I can say that God heals and He's always there day and night, call him anytime, let Him comfort you. I hope these words convey my heartfelt sympathy and if you need me I'm only a phone call away.Through it all, don't forget to stop and take care of yourself. God loves all of you, and so do I.

To Shirley and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts. May time accomplish what no words can do, cause words are so inadeguate at a time like this. I just want you to know that God is there for each of you, let him hold you and heal the sorrow that you feel. Adria is another angel added there to look over each of you, and she is resting in such a wonderful and beautiful place, resting with our Father. Shirley, take care yourself, may GOD take such good care of you and your family. Family through it all remember to take care of each other, lean on one another and know that you're in the thoughts and prayers of family and friends. May God bless you always.

Dear Family
My heart was saddened when I received the news today
But I know God knew what was best in spite of what we say
My prayers are with you all
And know only God could have given that call
Be strong and know God has not made a mistake
We will meet her again at the Golden Gate
If you need me, don't hesitate to call
For God knew what was best after all
With all my Love,
Sissy

God we thank you for the gift of Adria. You know what a treasure and an inspiration she has been for us. It is not easy to part with her. The days are hard for us. The memories are there. Less the hurt in our hearts as we trudge along through each day. Give us the engery to live our lives well. Do not allow us to move into bitterness and alienation with you or with one another. We can get through this painful time in our lives with your strength to sustain us. Grant us peace. Amen Johnnie Barrett and family

Mama,
Words can't express how much I love you and miss you. You were the strongest person that I knew and probably will ever meet. We had the best mother/daughter relationship out there. Even though you had your own battles to fight, you always put me first and I didn't have to ask. You kept our family together. Mama, you are my rock.We had so many good times together and I will never forget them. I thanked God ever chance that I had for blessing me with such a wonderful mother. AJB, I just wished that you had more time with my baby. He's only two months and you spoiled him already, not just with material things, but with your love. He knew who his Mimi was because whenever you held him, he would smile and look comfortable.
Even though you cannot be here with me physically, you will ALWAYS be in my heart. I am your legacy and I will continue to live through you and never stop talking about you. Kris and Baby Ya'Ron will never forget you either, I will make sure of that.
I love you
Chavon

Dear Mimi,
We're sending you hugs on Angel wings of gold,
Oh, so many for you to hold.
We'll blow you some kisses in the gentle breeze,
With some tears on sad days like these.
The Angels are bringing you some flowers,
We picked you a bunch.
Softly placed in your open arms,
One from both of us.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
We love you Mimi,
Kriston and Ya'Ron, Jr.
I love you AJB.

OUR ANGEL
God saw Adria
getting tired and
a cure was not to be,
so He put His arms
around Her and
whispered
'Come with Me.'
With tearful eyes
We watched Her suffer
And saw Her fade away;
Although we all loved
Adria dearly, We could
not make Her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating; hard-working hands at rest;
God broke our hearts
to prove He only
takes the best.
It's lonesome here
without Her. We miss her
more each day;
life doesn't seem the same since Adria’s gone away.
When days are sad
and lonely, and everything
goes wrong, We will hear Adria whisper: 'Cheer up and carry on.'
Adria has a message for us all:
”Don't cry, for Kenyon and I
are in God's keeping; we'll see all of you, again, someday.”
