Adrian Miller Obituary

With profound sadness yet celebrating a life beautifully lived, we announce that Adrian Ann Miller; cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and niece passed away on March 25, 2024 at the age of 56 with her daughters by her side. Adrian embarked on her heavenly journey and slipped into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Born in New Orleans, LA to Gladis and the late Jack Miller Sr. Adrian's life was filled with laughter and love, leaving her family stories that have become cherished memories. A woman of many stories, Adrian's playful spirit and love of sharing a laugh followed her throughout her life. Adrian was blessed with a large and loving family. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and happiness. Nothing brought her greater happiness than having her children and grandchildren gather together for family vacations; family was her greatest joy! Additionally, Adrian shared many memorable adventures with her family, journeying recently to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Mexico. Adrian was a lifelong member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church. Her unwavering faith was evident in her love for reading the Bible and enjoying gospel hymns. Adrian was preceded in death by her father, Jack Miller, Sr.; brother, Kevin Tyler; nephews, Bertrand Dezara III and Marvin Jackson; grandparents, Julia Mae and Herman Tyler Sr.; and uncle, Herman Tyler Jr. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kendra and Ayanna Neville; grandchildren, Seven Funchess, Azure and Amarè Mack; mother, Gladis Miller; siblings, Jack, Michael (Sharon) and Sonia Miller; aunt, Linda Tyler; uncle, Melvin Tyler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives, friends and employees of the United States Postal Service, Texas Central, First Student and Durham Bus Companies, RTA, HANO, Sodexo; also former employees of Orleans Parish School Board, and Charity Hospital are invited to attend the homegoing celebration at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, 2500 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Gerald Nettles Officiating. Interment will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery No 1., 1950 Soniat St., New Orleans, LA 70115. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125.
