Adrian Ramirez Obituary

Adrian Maurice Ramirez, Aka Big A, DJ "Extraordinaire" passed on Thursday, July 29, 2021 due to complications of Covid. Many locals remember him as a very popular DJ on the scene in the 80s, spinning records at Uncle Larrys, Kenny's Key West and Kenny Vincent's Southside. More recently, he was a member of Lakeview Christian Center. Adrian is Preceded in death by his parents: Sophie and Reynaldo Ramirez and is survived by his brothers and sister: Diane Porter, Gary "Primo" Ramirez, Cary Ramirez, Keith Ramirez and his Nieces and nephews. Due to the spike in Covid, there are no immediate services planned. Instead, Adrian will be remembered later this year at a Celebration of Big A's Life (if Covid allows) details regarding date and location shall be forthcoming and announced on his Facebook page. Look out Heaven, Big A is in the house!

So sorry to hear of the passing of Adrian. I met him 11 yrs ago and he was a amazing and unique friend to me. Never a day went by without hearing from him. You always told me "Jo, I never skip a beat". I have so many cherished memories. I will miss him greatly. I love and miss you AD.....Rest in Paradise....

I worked the lights at Kenny s from 98 to 01. Big A and I in the booth. We were in the booth at Kenny s on New Years Eve when 2000 came in. Big A will always be in the house. He was great at it...
