Albert Lotz Obituary

LOTZ Albert H Lotz Jr., 84 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, died May 22, 2010, at The LA. War Vets Home in Jackson LA. Albert was born on March 31, 1926, in New Orleans. Mr. Lotz attended Samuel J. Peters High School in New Orleans, Soule Business College and graduated magna cum laude from S.L.U. in 1982. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Gamma Mu. Mr. Lotz was a United States Marine 5th div. and wounded for life on Iwo Jima. He was a Past Master of Linn Wood Lodge #167, in N.O., and a member of Knights Templar and Pine Grove Lodge. Surviving are wife, Betty Larrieu Lotz, daughter & son-in-law, Cynthia L. Parr and John E. Parr, son & daughter-in-law, Albert "Herbie" Lotz III and Judy Ditta Lotz, son, Rusty George Lotz, son & daughter-in-law, Richard Joseph Lotz and Tammy Crawford Lotz, grandchildren, Rebecca Lotz, Brittany Lotz Hastings and Sarah Jane Lotz. He is preceded in death by father, Albert H. Lotz Sr., mother, Frances Rizzuto Lotz, and son Teddy Lotz. Friends will be received Thursday, June 10, 2010 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, at 7:00 PM. Donations may be made to the LA. War Vets Home, 4739 Hwy. 10, Jackson, LA 70748 An on-line guest book is available at www.harrymckneely.com.

Dear Aunt Betty, Cyn,Herbie,Rusty and Richie and your families. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Albert. Although I know he will be missed by all of you, he is now at peace.
My love is sent to all of you. I hope the good memories you have will comforting.
