Alice Baldini

Alice Baldini, my wonderful and loving mother and grandmother left us peacefully to be with the Lord in heaven on May 21, 2014 at the age of 90. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Arabi, LA for the past 47 years. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Michael Baldini. She was the cherished mother of Joycelyn Fitzgerald and the late Michael Louis Baldini whom was killed in action in Vietnam. She was the proud grandmother of Michelle Schlaudecker (Raymond) and Michael Walters. Great-grandmother of Logan and Saige Schlaudecker. Mother-in-law of Timothy Fitzgerald. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her sister Mercedes Estrada, along with her numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She also leaves behind her beloved feline Red Pop. A special thanks for the care provided to my mother at St. Margaret's of Mercy Home, and to her nurses Nikki and Rosalie "Roe", thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful and loving care you gave my mother in her final days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 23rd from 11:30AM – 1:30PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:30PM. She will be laid to rest with her husband Michael in St. Bernard memorial Gardens.
