Alice Gueringer

Beloved matriarch of her family, Alice Duronslet Gueringer departed her earthly life on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Alice was born to the late Achille T. and Mabel C. Poche' Duronslet (Edna Prados Duronslet) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The eldest of three siblings, Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Achille P. Duronslet Sr. (the late Marlene Lassier-Duronslet) and sister, Norma Monette (the late Eldridge Monette). Loving and faithful wife of her late husband, Lloyd J. Gueringer Sr. Adored mother of Lloyd J. Gueringer Jr., M.D., Glen P. Gueringer and Terri G. Argieard. Mother-in-law of Vanessa G. Gueringer, Aliema A. Gueringer and Dimitros R. Argieard. Grandmother of Lloyd J. "Joey" Gueringer III (Marie), Michelle G. Bourgeois (Ryan), Shaun M. Gueringer (Melissa), Rachel G. Gregg (Bryan), Jeanneda A. Luke (Derek), and Erin D. Malbroue (Arthur). Alice was also grandmother to the late Donielle T. Doucette, who she loved and missed dearly. Great-grandmother of Brennan, Devyn, Cade, Camryn, Catherine, Jackson, Nova, Atlas, Alexander, Ava and Maxim. Alice will also be missed and remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, honoring the life of Alice D. Gueringer on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd.). Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 - 11 a.m.
