Allen Albert Age, affectionately known as "Twin," was born on December 31, 1971, in New Orleans, LA, to Alvin Joseph Age, Sr. and Dianne Cordier Age. On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 52, he unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Allen was a 1989 graduate of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and later went on to earn both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of New Orleans. Residing in Slidell, Louisiana, growing up in the Voscoville/Boscoville area of Gentilly, Allen was known for his friendly nature and his passion for music. Alongside his twin brother, he enjoyed being the DJ at various events, bringing joy to those who attended. His talent and love for music were evident in every performance. Family meant the world to Allen, and he cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. His bond with his late twin brother, Alvin, was unbreakable and filled with a special connection that amazed those around them. Their closeness was a source of joy and wonder, showcasing the deep love they shared. Above all, Allen's heart overflowed with love for his daughters, Kailan and Kaisha. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and spoke of them with admiration. His love for them was unwavering, and he treasured every moment they spent together. Allen was the joyful grandfather to his only grandchild, Oakland. Allen is survived by his beloved daughters, Kailan and Kaisha Age, as well as his granddaughter, Oakland Henry. He is also survived by his parents, Alvin Age Sr. and Dianne Cordier Age, his sister Gina Edwards (Vanderbilt "Bill"), his nieces: Jasmine LaCoste and Alanna Age; great-nephew Jayce James. Allen is further survived by his aunts: Penelope Cordier Madine and Joyce Age Reine; his former spouse, Chaniel Chestnut, mother in law, Gwendolyn Alexander; brother in law of Cherona (Patrick), Chantrell (Jesse), Chedaphne (Erroll), Chalana (Ezra), and Sherrie Brown; godfather of Jarell McMillian, along with a host of other cherished family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his twin brother, Alvin Age, Jr.; his grandparents: Walter and Pearl Cousin Cordier, as well as Charles and Hilda Castanel Age. Allen is also preceded in death by his aunts: Gladys Severin, Barbara Martin, Miriam Wilson, Melvina Adossa, Delores Davillier, his uncles: Charles Age, Morris Age, Donald Age, and Ronald Age. Allen Albert Age will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be forever cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who carry his love in their hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
