Allen Chappel Obituary

Allen Harris Chappel, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. A native of Roanoke, VA and a long time resident of New Orleans. He was a retired professor of German at the University of New Orleans and known for translation of German poetry. Son of the late Hope Harris and Benjamin Chappel. Survived by his special friend Fran Swan and nieces Linda Ferris and Karen Bartek. Cremation to take place in New Orleans followed by burial in Roanoke, VA.
