Coach "Nookie"as he was known at Behrman Gym, in Algiers, La.
When I was 12yrs old, and played Basketball for Behrman. It was at this time, that Coach "Nookie" gave me the nickname "Big Murt", that I have been affectionately known for in Algiers, La, based on my abilities of playing Sports (Basketball, Softball, and Track).
Coach "Nookie" and the rest of the Coaches and the Staff at the Gym, were like our Second Parents, who would confront us, if we did something wrong and Influence and Guide us in a Positive Direction.
Thank You, for playing an Integral Part in My Life.
May Eternal Rest Be Granted Unto You,
O Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon You.
May You Rest in Peace.
"BIG MURT "
