RICHARDSON Alvin Richardson, Sr., age 94, was embraced by the Lord and called home Sunday, April 21, while surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Ophelia Richardson, and his sister, Bertha Richardson. Alvin lived a full and blessed life and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as a kind friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his precious memories are his dear wife, Audrey Andry Richardson, their three children Shelly (David Sr.) Butler, Terry (Gregory Sr.) Mundy, and Alvin (fiancé Robin White) Richardson; grandchildren David Butler, Jr., Gregory Mundy, Jr. (fiancé Cheryl Smith), Alvin Richardson, III, Brittany Miller (Charles), Tracy Mundy, Shelly Gordon (Darrell Jr.), Terry C. Mundy, Sr. (Dominique), Briana Richardson and Shawn Richardson, along with eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Homegoing Service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 1020 Virgil Street, Gretna, LA. Apostle Ronnie R. Stewart, Sr. of Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Ministries, Intl. will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to the hour of service. Interment: St. Bartholomew Cemetery.
