Andrew Clark Obituary

Surrounded by his family, Andrew "Drew" Grant Clark, III peacefully passed away on February 1, 2023 after a courageous fight against prostate cancer. He is survived by the love of his life, Michele DeFelice Clark, his mother, Ione Bordes Clark, his five loving sons and their wives, Andrew (Ali) Grant Clark, IV, Christian (Catherine) Lloyd Clark, Joseph (Wagner) DeFelice Clark, Benjamin (Marissa) Meyers Clark and Phillip Michel Clark, and his four precious grandchildren, Katherine, Andrew, Walter, and Turner Clark. Drew was truly a one–of-a-kind individual. He grew up and remained living in Metairie throughout the course of his life, eventually raising his family in Old Metairie as members of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church. Drew was a letterman swimmer and Dean's List graduate of Holy Cross High School, after which he attended Loyola University of New Orleans where he earned an undergraduate degree in business management. From a young age Drew was a hard worker, successfully starting his own business prior to graduating college, which eventually turned into his lifelong career. He instilled his work ethic in his children, and endlessly motivated them to do their best. Throughout his life, Drew was an avid outdoorsman, loving to duck hunt and fish whenever he had the chance. He graciously shared his passion for the outdoors with his five boys. Drew was a self-proclaimed boat-a-holic, constantly immersing himself in all aspects of boating. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories made with him over the countless duck hunts at the camp and endless summers at the coast. Drew had a big heart – he was the husband, son, father, grandfather, friend, uncle, and brother who always felt a burning desire to give everything he had to give while never expecting anything in return. There was nothing in this world that Drew loved more than his family. Drew's gregarious nature drew him to imprint a connection with everyone he met while always striving to bring joy to those around him. To know him was to love him, and although his life was cut short, Andrew Grant Clark, III will live on forever and always in his wife, boys, friends and everyone else who had the opportunity to get to know him. His life will be celebrated on Monday, February 6, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m., and will be followed by mass at 11:30am.
