Anfred "Anna" Tachdjian-McCarthy

Anfred Tachdjian-McCarthy, beloved wife of Robert T. McCarthy for 27 years, passed away quietly on Saturday, February 10, 2018. She was a registered nurse for 30 years at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Anfred was a steadfast patient advocate. She would always do what was best for the patient, and each step of the way would show attention to detail, kindness, and compassion. She enjoyed being a mentor and a friend to her fellow co-workers. She expected excellence of herself and the people around her, and everyone was a better person for it. She loved life, her husband, her animals, a hot cup of tea, and most of all her daughter Meghan. She will be missed by all. Anfred is survived by daughter Meghan, mother Lucretia Tachdjian, brother Peter Tachdjian, and will be remembered by countless gym friends at Crossgates Athletic Club. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, Louisiana, with service to begin at 1:00 pm.
