Bill, Steve, Barbara, Martha, Brian and James, I was so saddened to hear of Ann's death. She was a wonderfull new neighbor for me when my family moved to Bakersfield. Her help in a new area was greatly welcomed.
She was a pleasure to have a chat over a cup of coffee. A special lady I will always remember. May all of you cherish her memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Maxine LaBouff

I want all of you to know how sorry the our family is for your loss. We all loved Ann and thought she was the glue that held all of us together. She is be missed by all in this family and always thought of as our historian, the keeper of the addresses. Please let me know if there is anything any of you need or want and I will be there for you. With all the love we have, Katherine, Caroline, Sheryl, Theresa, and Linda (and I know if Granny and Gaga were here they would feel and say the same)

Dearest Bill, Barbara, and rest of the family,
Ann was the personification of a "True Southern Lady". Her gentleness, her laughing eyes, and her ability to connect with those around her, made her a person you wanted as a friend. We feel fortunate that Ann was a friend of ours. She will be missed!

I was so sorry to hear of Ann's death (I feel like I should be calling you Mr. and Mrs. Heck, but since I'm 64 now, I figured I could graduate to your first names. :) ). I so remember how much Mom and Dad enjoyed your company and your big family...one of the few that rivaled ours in size and fun. Ann will live on in all our hearts and minds. We are sorry to hear the loss of Mrs. Ann...she was such a great person and will be missed. She and my Mom became great friends when they lived in Arabi.
