Anthony Vernace Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Vernace Sr. passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Claire Meehan Vernace. Loving father of Carol Vernace Burke and Anthony Joseph Vernace Jr. Father-in-law of Deanie Burke Vernace. Son of the late Joseph and Matilda Sweeney Vernace. Brother of the late Vera Hoffman, Annie Perrone and Joseph Vernace Jr. Proud grandfather of Anthony Vernace III, Melissa Marie Vernace, Jennifer Marie Vernace, Jeffrey Burke and Christopher Burke. Mr. Vernace is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8968 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 on Thursday, March 30th from 9:00AM - 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to either the American Heart Association at 800-242-8721 or the National Alzheimer's Association at 800-272-3900.
